About

Regordane Info is the brainchild of Scott Anderson. Proud father of two young daughters, this site is like giving birth to a son.

On walking and hiking in Languedoc-Roussillon, Scott says: "There must be something about The Cevennes that Scots find attractive. To follow the footsteps of Robert Louis Stevenson was one thing; to discover The Regordane was something else."

On walking The Regordane Way for the first time, Scott says: "Two things stick in my memory. Firstly, I saw no other hikers from the moment I left Le Puy until my arrival in La Garde-Guerin, 83 kilometres and four days later."

"Secondly, there was something visceral in the sense of excitement I felt at walking such an important and historic route alone. Time to reflect on all those who came before me along the sacred rocks and stones: pilgrims, soldiers, traders and even Kings. Some perished along the way, while others made a living, fortunes or simply friends."

" I hope you will wish to connect with that common sense of humanity by walking The Regordane and the Saint-Gilles Way on your own or with significant others."

Scott Anderson is the Managing Director of The Enlightened Traveller®, the first company in the world to offer the hiking and walking fraternity the opportunity to walk the trail of The Regordane.

Scott spends fifty-one per cent of his time in Reading and Portsmouth, England and the remainder on and around The Regordane.
