Aims

Regordane Info is a universal, non-partisan portal. It's independent: you will not find any walking and hiking companies advertising their wares here and the site is not connected with officialdom in any way.

The broad aims of this site are:
1. To be the comprehensive portal for everything to do with The Regordane Way or Chemin Saint Gilles.

2. To champion the adoption, re-instatement, maintenance, preservation and protection of the whole of the historic Regordane Trail.

In order to meet the first goal, continual active research will take place to build the site and keep it up to date. Regordane Info actively encourages submissions from the general public in both English and French, so please send us any information, stories, articles, photos, ideas and comments for inclusion in the site.

The strategy for attaining the second objective is more complex. Regordane Info is happy to act as a focal point for, and mouthpiece on, all issues relating to The Regordane Way. We hope you will write to us with your opinions, concerns and issues. You can send them to us at regordane@regordane.info and we will place them on our Your Comments page. If you sign up for our Newsletter, we may consult you from time to time on issues that relate to The Regordane Way and pass the results onto the relevant offical bodies.

Should the ultimate objective of this site be to have The Council of Europe proclaim the The Regordane Way as a European Cultural itinerary as it did with the Santiago de Compostela Trail in 1987? To make the route part of our World Heritage? Click here to see UNESCO on the Route of Santiago de Compostela.
